What is the pen tool used for?
- the pen tool is used to create free form objects, or to trace pre-exciting objects.
How can you manipulate a path/line in Illustrator? Discuss the use of the white arrow tool, pen+, pen-, and convert too.
- to manipulate a path or line you click on the white arrow tool. then you click on the path and move it to any shape or form. you can also click on the anchor to move it. the pen+ tool adds anchor points while the pen- deletes anchor points. the convert tool helps make more extreme angles.

How can you utilize the layers palette in Illustrator?
- layers lets you word on a design, but if you add another layer you can work on a design over the one you just made without affecting the bottom layer.

How do you create a clipping mask in Adobe Illustrator?
- to crate a clipping mask you make a box over what you want everyone to see. (make sure the box is on top of everything else) then, select everything in the design. the go to object on the tool bar, scroll down to clipping mask. then click make.
